"Recycle" is the buzz around Elkmont this year as students chip in and recycle paper, plastic, and aluminum.  In conjunction with the Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful campaign, students are learning the importance of saving space in landfills and reusing what might normally be considered trash. According to representatives of KALB, Elkmont students turned in more recycling during the first week of school than any other group they have worked with.  The effort also brings much needed revenue to the school for recycled aluminum cans.
Monday, we will start recycling in the cafeteria, as well.  For more information, contact Mrs. Cindy Buzonowski or Keep Athens-Limestone Beautiful.
